Recently, I have heard a lot of stories regarding tales between Landlords and Tenant's. I have wondered to myself many times. Do both parties know the rules and regulations pertaining to what is involved when becoming a Landlord. Also, what the Tenant is responsible for under the Tenancy Act.
For example, is the Landlord required to paint a premises prior to a Tenant moving in? Or should the Tenant paint and than ask the Landlord for reimbursement?
Another example, can the Landlord inspect the property whenever they chose and do they need to give the Tenant notice?
There are so many areas of concern with dealing with Tenant's. That's why, the best method prior to getting involved in an Agreement to Lease, is to review the
Landlord and Tenant board Act. The information that you will learn from the board will surely benefit you in the long run.
